Now you have me interested because when I joined that board, I assumed YOU were the admin, because I had followed the threads at XDA and you seemed the top dev for the tab a. When I mentioned your name over there I was quickly told you were NOT the admin and no longer a member of that board. Is that admin even a dev? I usually only get roms/mods/advice from XDA (after spending hours fixing devices following "helpful" advice from other forums.)

Cool, I have a couple old single core cheap Chinese tabs I could play with. I think I have a rom kitchen somewhere. I don't have a 64 bit linux system, though I  may have a 64 bit laptop laying around. Any particular distros you recommend? 

Interesting, I just managed to install Ubuntu on my SM-T110 (using linux deploy) haven't figured out what to use it for on an Android. I knew how to do it w a vm but just wanted to see how a distro would run using the processor in a chroot environment. It runs a lot faster than it would inside a VM.
